SAY ARR EE

Rp 300.000

On this two-track R&S single, Bullion moves his own voice to the front of music that had previously leaned on samples. 'Say Arr Ee' folds layered singing and guitar into a brisk, psychedelic rhythm; the B-side 'What Does She Know' makes a more direct song from the same off-centre electronic palette. Issued as a 10-inch in 2012, it captures Nathan Jenkins between the cut-up experiments of You Drive Me to Plastic and the pop songwriting that followed.

"The title track sees Bullion using his voice more like an instrument"
