Don Caballero

Singles Breaking Up (Vol. 1)

Rp 600.000

Originally compiled in 1999 from Don Caballero's early singles, compilation appearances and one previously unheard track, Singles Breaking Up (Vol. 1) traces the Pittsburgh band's instrumental music before and beyond its first albums. Touch and Go brought the collection to vinyl in 2017; this clear pressing was limited to 500 copies. 'Lucky Father Brown' and 'Puddin' in My Eye' show how intricate guitar patterns and Damon Che's drums could pull in different directions without losing force.

"intricate guitar interplay sometimes suggests jazzy prog-rockers"
The Washington Post (quoted)
