The Long Sleep

Rp 400.000

The Long Sleep, Jenny Hval's 2018 four-track EP, moves away from the tightly framed concepts of Blood Bitch toward a more instinctive way of writing. Recurring motifs take different shapes as Hval works with Håvard Volden, Lasse Marhaug, and a group of jazz musicians, giving the songs an open, improvisatory feel.

"The experimental songwriter abandons the conceptual rigor of her recent albums, collaborating with a handful of jazz musicians on a loose, ambiguous EP where repetition induces a state of déjà vu."
