Boots On The Ground

Rp 976.000

Massive Attack and Tom Waits make Boots on the Ground a slow, unsettling protest song. A lurching beat and spare piano leave room for Waits's ragged vocal, while the accompanying film connects images of war with policing and state violence in the United States. The 12-inch pairs the collaboration with The Fly, a sardonic spoken-word piece by Waits, and uses recycled EcoSonic vinyl for its pressing.

"that stumbling trash-can beat, those brooding piano chords"
Pitchfork on "Boots on the Ground" (quoted)
